Announcing the Awkward Animal Portrait Quilt Series

Announcing the Awkward Animal Portrait Quilt Series {an Art School Dropout's life}I have been scheming and collaborating with the talented Samarra Khaja behind the scenes for months now on a HUGE project! Let me introduce the Awkward Animals Portrait Quilt Series.

Samarra came up with a bunch of fantastically awkward pixelated animal illustrations and I took them and transformed them in to quilt patterns. There was a lot of back and forth about things like colors, placement, which animals to release when, etc etc. So you know your getting the best product we could think of.

This will be a monthly PDF pattern release with each set going live the 1st of the month in Samarra’s shop. Each quilt will have its own personality and story, some even have bonus content (hint hint: short videos).
This month we have TWO quilt patterns to share, so it’s double awkward…
First up is the slightly perplexed, and kind of guilty looking Cat! You know this critter is up to something. The finished quilt measures 46″x52″ and the sample piece is made using Kona Cotton and Essex Yarn Dyed Linen.
Dog_on_brick_wall_002The second quilt this month is the Dog. He looks super excited and looks like her just wants to lick your face. The quilt measures 40″x52″ and is also made using Kona Cotton and Essex Yarn Dyed Linen.
This is just the start, so keep an eye out for many more blog posts all about the process, bonus content and upcoming releases!
+ To celebrate the launch of this series, you can get $2 off the patterns using promo code AUGCATDOGSPECIAL during checkout. Promo ends Midnight EST on August 7, 2017 +
