This has been an idea I have had in my head for almost a year! It just took me awhile to perfect it.

Let me introduce to you the exclusive Art School Dropout Pin Cushion! 

The bottom part is made just like a lot of my jewelry over the years. It is a lightweight hand cast plastic that was made using molds I created. Each one is one of a kind since I mix the pigments myself and the fillers. The inside of the pin cushion is a felted wool and is very dense. It will grab on to your pins and keep them super snug until you need them.

For this specific update I only added a small handful of variations. I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with shipping. I’m holding on to the second batch of these for a shop update in April!

In addition to the earrings, you can preorder a paper copy of the Pixelated Circles Quilt, Coordinating Acrylic Templates and Ring of Coffin Fussy Cut Templates (all three will start shipping May 8th).

I’ve been enjoying sewing pouches again, plus I found a bunch of almost finished embroidered pieces from way back when, so expect updates like these a little more often!

Most of the listings are set up to be customized in some way or another. This was the reason I couldn’t do this on Instagram and had to open up my StoreEnvy shop again. It will help keep things organized a bit!

I’ve also added a few pre-made earrings, necklaces and a banner or two.

The sale will end Thursday, May 21st at midnight. At that point I will close up shop and start working on all the orders. I wont reopen the shop until the next sale. This way I can ship everything in a timely manner and still fulfill my contractual obligations I have.

All proceeds from this sale are going to help me take care of monthly payments on a long arm sewing machine, something I’m hoping to purchase very soon. The machine will help me turn out quilts faster, and allow me to experiment more with the actual quilting process. Then maybe after a year of practice, I can start taking on others quilts! It’s an exciting venture, and I just want to be ready. So expect a few of these flash sales within the next few months.

So, if you have ever wanted a custom Hexagon or Quilt Block Necklace, or maybe a set of charms that spell out something awesome or ridiculous, then now is the time. I’m casting all week!!!

I priced them according to quilts similar in quality and design that I’ve seen online. I don’t plan on taking custom requests and won’t update quilts non stop, but it’s nice to know that if I have an idea I can test it out and it may end up finding a new home one day, not just sit on my shelf and get dusty.

The first three quilts that I added are all completely different. Both in color and design. There is the light muted tone hexagon quilt above…

And the icosahedron quilt made up of lots of blues and grays.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about these pieces and anything else that may be on your mind right now!!

I’m non stop brainstorming more designs and also trying to figure out what the next saying will be. Any thoughts? I’m always up for suggestions.

This isn’t the only shop update planned for this week. I also have a special new product debuting this Friday! So please keep an eye out, because I’m super excited about them too.

I also added something not nerd related, unless you’re a sewing nerd…

New hand cast plastic buttons in a load of different colors. All available in sets of seven, so they would be perfect for blouses, cardigans, dresses and lots of items that aren’t clothing.

Oh and one more thing, I put the Home Sweet Home banner made with sprinkles up as a Pre Order. There was a lot of requests for me to make more and it just happens to be one of the few pieces I can make over and over and have it look the same. So I know exactly How many to make of these, a pre order is the only way to go. What if I make too few? Or too many?

I plan on casting again next week, so expect to also see a larger selection of colors when it comes to these banners. Any Color combos you’d like to see? Any you would like me to attempt again?

There are more colors then I’ve shown above, they just wouldn’t all fit on one page. As of this post I believe there is 13 colors left.
