It was a Design Your Own Pirate flag using felt, fabric and paper! It was a huge hit and all the kids made amazing flags!!

The fabric I used is from Alison Glass’ line Sunprint, and is from Andover Fabrics who sent me the fabric to try out!

It was a cute tree that had a slight Scandinavian look to it. I can only picture it in white for some reason, but I bet it could be used in many ways. I painted a border of them on the bottom of a dress I made using their stencil vinyl.

The dress is made using Made By Rae’s Geranium Dress pattern and the fabric is Andover Fabric’s chambray in black.

I am so in love with this dress and I want to make so many more! The pattern has 3 options for sleeves, 2 options for the skirt (pleated or gathered), 3 neckline options AND an optional pocket! Plus you can make it as a dress OR a top. Seriously, SO MANY OPTIONS. Plus it went together in just two hours on my first try and the instructions were so easy. It fit her really well too! I can see CT’s closest packed full of these within a year, you guys will be so sick of seeing them, maybe…

They are PERFECT gift toppers or small gifts for when you just have way too many family members! They are also great for kids with unique names, so they can have their own personalized ornaments every year.

I’ve been missing from this here blog. Between family obligations, deadlines and a cold turned pneumonia I hardly had free time. The free time I do have goes towards teaching myself Illustrator, how to use a Wacom tablet and anything else to better my creative side. I’m hoping to be back to a normal schedule soon. I have so many ideas, I just want to be able to execute them the best way I can.

Well, I decided this week to change that. I love this blog and I feel so bad that I left it alone for TWO whole months! I have a serious backlog of pictures and stuff. It’s been interesting sorting through it all.

So to help jump start everything, here is a project I did for Silhouette America’s blog back in July.

It was a matching skirt set for CT and one of her American Girl dolls! She had been asking me for awhile to sew up some clothes and I figured a skirt would be the best thing to start out with.

The pink fabric I used is Kona Cotton Bright Pink. Which really is BRIGHT pink. It kind of made it difficult to photograph and then even more difficult to edit the photos because it never wanted to stay the same color pink. Oh and the background fabric is also by Robert Kaufman, it’s their Yarn Dyed Essex Linen and Cotton blend in Black. It might just be my absolute favorite new fabric. Actually I just love all of Robert Kaufmans basics, but we’ll talk about that in detail at another time.
