Marbled Hexies Repeat Patterns

I had talked two days ago about making jewelry again and showed off some new marbled hexagon pieces. Well, I went another step and scanned a huge handful of those hexagons and digitized them to be used in all kinds of projects.

I thinking I’m going to run with this idea and see exactly what I can make when I mix my jewelry with my quilting. The sky is the limit.

For now I’ve added a whole bunch of pieces using the scans to my Society6 shop…

I am slowly ordering swatches from Spoonflower and currently a few colorways are available as yardage with more coming super soon…

Also any designs available in my Spoonflower shop can also be used on Sprout Patterns. How cool is this dress? I want it so bad…

Seriously, there is so much more I can do here! Other shapes, more casting techniques, different colors, etc. I am so excited by this project and will probably be sharing more about it soon!

Just Two Words Project: Sewing Machine & Diamonds

The next Just Two Words Project on the list was Sewing Machine & Diamonds. I know Sewing Machine is technically two words, but I was half asleep when I chose it, Which means Heidi chose Diamonds. The end results was the be a mug design…

I thought it would be neat to make an illustration of my own machine, that way I could buy the mug afterwards! So that’s what I did, my own machine with some diamond stitching behind it!

Super simple in my opinion and not exactly my normal style of work. Actually, I feel like these projects are pulling me away from my doodle like drawings. I don’t feel like these illustrations belong to me. It’s been a weird feeling.

I still bought the mug though! Why wouldn’t I? I added it to my Society6 shop, so anyone could buy it too!

You should check out Heidi’s mug design! It’s very retro and super cute.

My Daily Uniform On Repeat

In normal Jessee fashion, I turned the illustration I shared yesterday into a repeat pattern. My reasoning… “why not?”. My new motto.

I ordered a swatch from Spoonflower as usual, and I added it to my Society6 shop.

Now you can have all of my daily fashion essentials on a Mug, Pillow, Wall Clock, Phone Case and more!! How fun!

Flower Doodles

I hate to just sit around, I’d prefer to be kept busy. So when I get sick, I get super frustrated. This was the case the past two weeks, and to keep myself occupied I took up doodling in my sketchbook non stop. I’ve been meaning to get back into that habit anyway. It’s been too many years since I took time to just draw, and I am certainly very rusty.

Once I felt better I scanned in a few of my little flower doodles and decided to make a repeat pattern with them.

Which then means I of course uploaded it to Spoonflower and ordered fabric swatches in a few colorways. I had to. I’ll post pictures of the fabric once it comes in.

Then I figured if I was already doing that, why not upload one of the colorways to Society6 too! I absolutely love the phone case, I think it was the perfect application for the repeat.

I Love Society 6!

I was super curious to see what my new repeat patterns would look like on pillows, so I tried them out over on Society6. It’s a neat website that allows artist to upload work and have numerous items made from it. You could have a painting on an iphone case, or a photo on a pillow, and even just a nice plain print made of an illustration! I love it.

I tried out a bunch of my designs on all of their available products, and a few I really liked and wanted to share…

You can find all the pieces above, and more, in my Society6 shop! I loved playing around with it all, so I may just keep adding work!

OH and I had a question… Has anyone ever had an iPhone case made by Society6? I’d love to know you like it!
