Geometric Mountain Range Pillow

I have added another one of my geometric paper piecing patterns to the shop. This time it’s for an 18″ square pillow that sorta resembles the mountains outside my house. Not too tall, kinda rolling hills, but loads of layers.

If you decide to try the pattern out, I’d love to see photos!!

Geometric Potholder

So here is the potholder, trivet, mug rug or mini wall hanging that I was talking about yesterday! I myself still don’t know how I’m going to use it. No matter what it ends up being, I LOVE it. It’s the first in a series of 12 designs that will eventually all go together. I’m still working on logistics, but what I picture in my head is perfect. Ha.

For now though, if you are interested in trying this paper pieced pattern out, you can find it in my Etsy shop at a very reasonable price! It ends up making an 8″ square piece which can be used as a quilt block or any of the things I mentioned above!! Oh, or you can add it to a dress, zipper pouch, tote bag, pillow or anything else you could possibly think of. The sky is the limit.

If you do use the pattern please note it is for home use only, and can not be used commercially. Also, I would really love to see any finished projects!! Just email me!

Behind the Scenes: Quilting Pillow Tops… Almost

Last week was a complete bust when it came to sewing. I started having horrible stomach pains early in the week and was pretty much stuck on the couch until late into the weekend. I’m feeling a bit better this week, but I’m still not 100% myself.

Today I had enough strength to whip up a potholder (which I’ll share tomorrow, along with a link to a pattern) and get the two pillow tops shown above ready to quilt. I would have completely finished them if it weren’t for the fact that I ran out of dark gray thread, and would love some matching teal thread for the geometric one. So these won’t be finished until I make a trip out for supplies, but I still wanted to share them in their half finished state!!

I can’t wait until I can cuddle with them on the couch!!

If I Had Unlimited Funds: January 2nd

The holidays are over, I’m done with all my gift making, and I’m just ready to get things back to normal.

To start off this whole “normal” thing, I thought I’d do one of my favorite types of posts, If I Had Unlimited Funds… These posts give me a purpose when window shopping the internets, and if I could, I would do one everyday!
