A few weeks ago I received an email from Zazzle.com with a coupon code for 50% off fleece blankets. I didn’t know that you could get custom made fleece blankets made, and the idea excited me. So I headed on over to their site and quickly uploaded a file and ordered myself a custom fleece blanket.

This week is finally the week, the Spinning Pyramid Quilt pattern I designed for Robert Kaufman is live and ready to download FOR FREE!
It is an Advanced foundation paper piecing pattern like my Spinning Icosahedron Quilt, but there are less sides to worry about. Plus there is the option to make 16 blocks like above, or 9 blocks or whatever combination you want!!
If any of you try the pattern out, please send me photos. I’d love to share them on here and on all the social media outlets.
Art Gallery Fabrics reached out to numerous bloggers and asked them to make a project using one of their newest lines as part of Sewing Month! After browsing through their app (yes, they have a fabric app!) I chose Bari J’s newest line Anna Elise and made CT a new, toddler sized quilt to cuddle up with.

Today I am super excited to share a project from the newly released book Sew Adorkable: 15 DIY Projects to Keep You Out of Trouble by my friend Samarra Khaja. When she contacted me asking if I would like to review the book, my response was “I’m not great at reviewing things. I don’t hate enough. So how about I make something?” She went for it, and here we are!

Today on the Sizzix blog I share a step by step tutorial on how I pieced this super scrap fabric busting half-square triangle quilt. There’s loads of photos and illustrations, plus I timed most of the process. Also, it was my absolute first custom quilt on my new longarm!! (which I now realize I never blogged about, I need to get on that!)
