Blythe Dress Kits

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how I really want to spend my days, and what I should be focusing my time on. I feel like I’ve taken on too many projects and I’m not 100% happy doing all of them anymore.

So this week I have finally decided that I will not be making Blythe clothes and accessories to sell anymore. I’ll still make a few here and there as gifts or for myself, but I just can’t do it full time, I don’t have enough time in the day. It took me a long time to finally say that out loud, and then write it here.

So to help fund equipment repairs, and possibly replacements, I’m going to sell off all my pre printed, unfinished Blythe dresses as kits. They will come with One or Three fabric pieces pre printed with a random design, and instructions on how to assemble them.

You’ll be able to find these kits (plus future skirt, top and bag kits) in my Etsy Shop. I’m also thinking of adding some grab bag listings for already finished pieces. Is that something anyone would be interested in?

We’re Back on Etsy!

20120509-170012.jpg

After some consideration, and frustration, I have decided to switch the Blythe shop back to Etsy. I don’t know how, but I somehow lost my old shop name. So now we have a new and much shorter etsy address!
www.etsy.com/shop/MiniASD

I apologize for all the moving around over the years! I really wanted it all to be available in my main shop, but there was just too much confusion for non Blythe shoppers. Then I was back and forth about Etsy. I’m hoping this will be the final home for Mini ASD and will make it easier for people to search for us and find exactly what they need.
Currently everything in the shop is from the big cartel shop. I’m taking request for new items. what would you like to see? I’m also working on 3D printed pieces for Blythe along with custom, cast plastic, dress forms and more. I forgot how much fun it was to design little stuff!

Blythe Giveaway Winners!

So first thing I did this morning was sit down at mine computer and pick the winners for our Blythe Giveaway! The last day for submissions was Monday night.

I used Random.org to help choose the winners. I just counted how many comments there was, and input the numbers. Each comment was assigned a number. I didn’t count my one response.

The winners are!!!…

Ann C. (who was number 19 and very excited about that little juxtapose necklace) and Olivia (who was number 4 and really helped promote!!).

Girls if you don’t hear from me soon, please email me to claim your prizes!!!

And if anyone is interested in winning a necklace, check out our other giveaway that ends Saturday!

Giveaways: Part One

I took some time off after the Fab sale. I needed some time away from making. I watched a little Doctor Who, made some baked goods, and did a bunch of thrifting.

To get back into things, I’ve decided to do a few giveaways!!

One for my Blythe Fans and one for my Jewelry Fans.

Let’s start it all off with a Blythe giveaway ( the jewelry one will be later in the week )…

I know some of my Blythe fans aren’t sewers, so I split todays giveaway into two. So technically I’m having THREE giveaways this week!

BlytheCon 2012

WooHoo!

Mini Art School Dropout has been chosen as one of the vendors at the 2012 BlytheCon! This year it’s being held in Dallas, Texas on August 5th.

I’m really excited about this, especially since I missed this years in Portland, due to financial and health issues. This time I’m going to be prepared. I’m booking my flight at the beginning of the new year, and my hotel a month or so afterwards.

It’ll be neat to see all my favorite customers and to make some new themed outfits specifically for this event.

I really love making teeny tiny clothes and accessories, It’s a nice change from what I normally did. Plus you can go crazy with pattern and color since it’s not a real person going out in public wearing it all!
