This past weeks Just Two Words theme was Houses & Folk and the finished piece should be a set of bed linens. I chose the word Houses and Heidi chose Folk!
The Black, White & Gray Half Hexie Quilt
Back in December I had these grand plans (like usual) to make a quilt for my little sister Cori for Xmas. She had mentioned she’d love a B&W Quilt, and I just happen to have a very large stash of B&W fabric, so I figured “why not?”
Just Two Words Project: Dogs & Cameras
Last weeks Just Two Words theme was Dogs & Cameras, and the finished piece was to be stationary themed. I chose Dogs and Heidi chose Cameras. I’m not that great at drawing dogs and I’m really horrible at thinking up unique or punny cards. It’s just not my thing, so I really struggled with this.
Spinning Icosahedron Quilt: Layout & Color Options V.1
It’s been almost a week since the Spinning Icosahedron Mini Quilt Pattern was released! I have sold a good amount, and with that I have also received a bunch of questions and requests.
I have decided to do a few blog posts that will answer the most common questions I have received so far. This first post I will show a couple ways to change the layout around and share the exact fabrics I used in the above sample!
Pin ItCreative Bug & Spoonflower Design Challenge
I talked briefly the other day about the creative Bug Fabric Design series and Spoonflower when I shared my Bugs and Teacups fabric. Well, the two companies decided to host a design contest for anyone who watched the videos! How neat is that? I thought it would be fun to enter my fabric! I just voted and figured why not share? I’m not going to ask you to vote for me, because that’s just not me, but instead I will ask you to go vote for the designs YOU like best!! I like things to be fair.
Spinning Icosahedron Mini Quilt: Release Day
Today is THE DAY! I have checked and rechecked the PDF many times and most of the testers have sent me finished photos and/or notes. I finally feel comfortable and ready to sell this pattern!!! Oh yeah, by the way, I’ve been working on a quilt pattern…
