The NEW cast plastic Cake Banners are now available in the shop!!
Of course there are a handful of common phrases available for immediate purchase, They are stuff I say pretty often or just the first thing to pop into my head while I was casting these examples.
Then there are the custom listings! Of course I was going to offer custom options. These cake banners were just screaming to be personalized. Here’s how it’ll work though…
- Cost: Pricing is based on how many letters you want. I was originally going to do it per letter, but then i realized just how much of a mess that might be. So instead you can choose either 1 to 3, 4 to 6, or 7 to 10 letters for now. Plus a custom Happy Birthday option. I will be offering larger quantities soon, I’m just still testing how many I can fit on a cake.
- Color Choices: You can choose from color mixes I know will come out the same each time (you can see these examples in each listing) or you can message me ahead of time and we can discuss color options. I have a large collection of glitters, pigments and fillers so I imagine I can make almost any combo you can dream of, but who knows! Oh and there is also sprinkles, I shouldn’t forget the sprinkles!
- Turnaround time: In the listing it says it may take up to 6 weeks to ship. Which it may, depending on how many custom orders I have on my list. If you need it sooner, please email me first to see what my current turnaround time is, just in case!
I Think that covers everything about custom banners. If you have a question I didn’t answer you can just comment here or email me! Or if you just want to tell me what you think of them, I’d love to read that too.
I spent the better part of today setting up and then taking photos of my new cast plastic Cake Banners!!! I’m so excited about them and can’t wait to show them to you all…
Luckily the wait won’t be long AT ALL! I am planning a shop update tomorrow at noon EST, for pre made banners and custom listings so you can say whatever you like!! The more I think about it, the more I love the idea of making custom pieces. There’s a different level of satisfaction knowing you’re making an item for someone specific, not just making an item and hoping theres someone out there that loves it.
I’ll go into more detail about them tomorrow, in the meantime you can look at this photo I took with my phone.
This year I took part in a few Secret Santa swaps. Something I haven’t ever really done before, but I thought was a neat idea. Most of the recipients haven’t received their gifts yet, so I can’t share them all yet. But I have been itching to share SOMETHING!
The only swap I didn’t go out of my way to sign up for was the one for Heidi’s crafternoon this month. My recipient just happened to be Heidi herself, and she is always fun to shop for! I found her a bunch of cool little trinkets, but of course I HAD to make something too! She collects mushroom stuff and donuts, so I figured why not make a set of mushrooms WITH icing and sprinkles on top? They were so fun to make, I always forget how much I love playing with clay.
I also made a few more clay ornaments for another swap I’m doing, but photos would seriously give away who the new owners will be, so I’m going to wait. The other set is something close to my own nerdy heart and I wish I had made myself some too!!
Maybe I’ll make some cast plastic ornaments for the shop next year? Is that something people would want?
I’ve been kinda absent on the internets lately, it’s been partially due to a ridiculous cold/stomach flu I had last week and then the fact that it was my husbands birthday this past Monday! We like to do birthday weeks, but he’s on call for work this week, so it ended up just being a birthday weekend. We spent the entire weekend out and about, it was exhausting and nice at the same time.
I’m kinda spending this week catching up on orders and shop stuff. It’s been pretty dreary lately, but I caught about a half hours worth of daylight yesterday for photos. Which meant I was able to add a few Monster Cloud Necklaces to the shop!! Sprinkles, confetti and glitter, oh my!
If I can catch a few more rays of sunlight, I may add some more. We’ll see…
